freestanding, fixed & collapsible guardrails

There are no penetrations on the freestanding and collapsible systems, meaning that there is no requirement to have a roofer on site. The uprights are counterbalanced and weighted with recycled PVC blocks.

Fixed guardrail systems on to flat roofs will penetrate the roof deck and will need to be weathered by a roofing subcontractor. Systems on to profiled metal roofs will be self-weathered using butyl mastic strips and there are no penetrations on a standing seam roof guardrail, as these are installed using non-penetrative clamps.

Guardrail systems should be inspected and recertified at least every 12 months. Do not use a guardrail as edge protection if it hasn't been recertified within this time.

There is no specific training required to use one of our guardrail systems, however no working at height activities should be undertaken without basic training.
